Cross axe from Ludvigshare. Later viking period.
Research shows that these types of axes were robust enough for practical use, and thus not only for ceremonial purposes.
The owners of these cross axes were not necessarily Christian, but the axes reflect the strong Christian currents that existed in this part of the viking period.
The last picture shows the original that is on display at the National Museum, Copenhagen, Denmark.
