Roman Caligae with hobnails, Castleford/Valkenburg type

These high-quality Roman sandals are based on finds from Castleford (UK) and Valkenburg (NL). The Caliga was the footwear for the marching Roman soldier.

These shoes are elaborately crafted from vegetable tanned leather. The soles have 7 mm long hobnails from steel.

All vegetable tanned leather shoes should be oiled or waxed before use and on occasion from outside to keep them flexible and supple.

- Colour: light brown (dyable)
- Material: approx. 2 mm thick vegetable tanned cowhide
- Nailed leather sole with authentic 7 mm long hobnails
- Available sizes: 39 to 45

Sehr zufrieden

Ein paar Rostflecken auf den Nägeln und Bleistiftspuren auf dem Oberleder. Kein Problem, schließlich handgefertigt. Die Lieferung erfolgte am letzten angekündigten Tag, also pünktlich. Die bestellte Größe passt perfekt und ist sehr bequem. Unbedingt mit Lederfett behandeln, in meinem Fall hat es ordentlich aufgenommen.
