Viking Hedmark Sword, practical blunt SK-B
This sword is a replica of the Norwegian sword of Hedmark which is dated to the late 9th Century. The original sword is kept at the Museum of Cultural History in Oslo.
The swords blade is double edged, non-sharpened and features a wide fuller. The guard and the wide, for this type of sword usual pommel are made of steel. The pommel is riveted. The grip is wrapped with a strip of leather. The scabbard is made of leather-wrapped wood and featured a steel chape and a wooden belt loop (max. belt width 5 cm).
This is the practical blunt version of this Viking sword.
