Fiebing's Resolene, Acrylic Finish for Leather, Neutral, 118 ml Bottle
Fiebing's Resolene, Protective Acrylic Finish for Leather, Neutral, 118 ml Bottle
Fiebing's Acrylic Resolene Finish is the most commonly used surface coating for dyed, antiqued or polished leathers. Thin, durable and water-repellent, Fiebing's Resolene is ideal as a top finish for sealing smooth leather shoes, bags, etc.
Fiebing's Acrylic Resolene can also be used to prevent purchased leather goods from rubbing off / staining.
Directions for use:
- The surface to be sealed should be dry and clean.
- For a perfect result, we recommend applying Fiebing's Resolene in several thin coats, and allow each layer to dry completely before applying the next one.
- If spraying with an airbrush, spray lightly for each layer. If using a sponge, dampen it first with water and apply Resolene in long, one-directional strokes to prevent tacky build-up. Be careful not to use too much at a time to avoid bubbling (which will form rings once dry).
- Depending on the quantity applied, the result will reach from semi-gloss (silk matte) to high gloss when dry.
- If you wish to use Fiebing's Resolene as a protection against rubbing off /staining of purchased leather products (e.g. handbags), clean the leather thoroughly with a deglazer beforehand to remove the existing finish.
Please note:
- The neutral Resolene might look blue when wet, but will dry clear.
- Resolene is NOT suitable for use on suede leather.
- Resolene is rendered useless upon freezing.
