Stiklestad Viking Sword, Windlass
The Battle of Stiklestad was the last battle of St Olaf. This was old-school warfare in which two armies faced each other eye to eye and sword to sword. It was a brutal, bloody and deadly fight, at the end of which the mighty Olaf fell. He became famous for his heroic deeds and was eventually canonised as St. Olaf.
This beautiful Viking sword is modelled after a specimen that took part in such a battle. Made from high-carbon steel, the sword is well balanced and the pommel and crossguard are decorated with copper. The wooden grip is covered with suede.
Includes matching wooden scabbard with suede cover.
Made by Windlass Steelcrafts.
This sword is designed as a collector's or decoration/display piece and, besides its quality as a collectible, is also perfectly suited as a prop, e.g. to complete your costume.
