Knights Tent Burgund, 5 x 8 m, 425 gsm, natural colour

With a stately height of just 3.5 m, the generously sized knight's tent Burgund is a functional and sturdy camp tent offering ample space. The pitching can be easily handled by 3 to 4 people. Once the roof has been mounted, the two sidewalls just need to be hung up by means of hooks and grommets. A pelmet running all the way around the tent conceals and seals the junction between roof and walls. This medieval tent can also be used as a canopy by simply leaving the sidewalls out. The awning offers good sun and rain protection and is designed as a separate piece which can be put up or taken down according to your needs. The bottom edge closes with a sod cloth that flaps into the inside and keeps dirt and dust out. The door closes with loops and opens by simply rolling it up. The tent's back wall can also be opened to allow for more air and light. Each iron centre pole and side pole is also conveniently equipped with an extended bottom tip designed to be driven into the ground for proper securing.

The historical knight's tent is treated against mildew and mould. The pure cotton canvas is particularly robust and tear-resistant but still very affordably priced, making this medieval tent an indispensable piece of equipment for medieval markets, military camps or LARP events.

Our tents and tarpaulins have already been waterproofed. In order to maintain / restore the water repellency of your tent or tarp and enjoy its use for a long time, we recommend regular treatment with a waterproofing spray, for example PLUVONIN.

Delivery includes all accessories needed for the proper setting up and fastening of the tent.

All measurements are approximate and may differ from the actual product supplied. The tents are crafted by hand, which lends them an authentic appearance on the one hand, but may also result in one or two small defects on the other hand. Cotton is a natural material that reacts differently depending on the various outside conditions and can considerably shrink or expand. So the iron poles included in delivery may not fit straightaway into the designated holes. It might in certain cases be necessary to somewhat shorten the poles to size. Please do not try to stretch the tent skin by force, as it increases the risk of the canvas tearing or the stitches snapping.

The photos of this item show the 6 x 4 m variant.

Important information on assembly, handling and maintenance of our historical tents:

You can prolong the life of your Viking tent, Roman tent, Saxon tent, Knights tent, medieval tent, trade tent or medieval market stall and enjoy its use for a further long time by observing the following precautions:

Do not overstretch the ropes, for natural materials such as wood or cotton alter under the influence of air humidity and need space to contract and expand. You may thus avoid e.g. that the roof holes for the poles get distended and ultimately facilitate water ingress. We recommend slightly slackening the ropes in the evening, for air humidity considerably rises at night and may increase the risk of excessive stress exerted on your tent. The ropes should also be somewhat slackened in rain or high atmospheric humidity. If the tent has been exposed to humidity, we strongly advise you to dry it after use, as it is otherwise likely to mould. Do not, on any account, use detergents or any other cleaning products to clean your tent. The best way to remove dried out dirt is to use a brush. As for the storage of your tent over an extended period of time, please separate all accessories (pegs, ropes, etc.) from the tent itself and preferably pack everything separately. Make sure that all items are dry and stored in a dry place.

Do you have any further questions concerning the setting up or proper use of your tent? Please don't hesitate to write or call, we'll be pleased to assist!
