This plume holder is designed to attach a plume with metal frame on a roman helmet. It was specifically designed for the roman helmet Imperial Italic `D` Type Mainz (product no. 1716605401), but can be used on similar helmets.

The piece which is attached to the flap riveted to the helmet is approx. 3 x 14 mm.Since every helmet is slightly different, you should expect to have to rework (file, bend) the plume holder to fit.
