This replica follows the helmet of Sir Richard Pembridge original, displayed in the Royal Scottish Museum in Edinburgh.The "Great Helmet" was often worn over a smaller, lighter helmet (for example secret helmet).
These helmets were common throughout Europe in the middle ages, and numerous contemporary images, miniatures and originals found in Germany, Flanders, England, Italy, Swizerland, Austria, etc. prove the popularity of this helmet type. They were used during the famous battles of Crecy (1346) and Poitiers (1356).
The helmet comes with a comfortable, adjustable leather liner and chin-strap with buckle.

Schwer und gut verarbeitet. Hält, was versprochen wird. Es ist erwähnenswert, dass man unbedingt eine Polsterhaube dazu kaufen sollte. Ansonsten bin ich voll zufrieden.
