Medieval Pirate Shirt Henry, white
This loosely tailored ruffle shirt is ideal for the portrayal of a pirate or nobleman. It has a collar and a double shoulder yoke. The shirt is gathered on the front and back from the yoke down and thus particularly comfortable in fit. The neckline has a lacing and is adorned with frills. The cuffs feature elastic gathers and a second ruffle layer. The bottom hem is slightly rounded towards the side seams. The shirt is made of cotton and offers pleasant wear comfort.
Historically, shirts did not come into fashion until the late Middle Ages, when trousers began to get tighter and tops shorter. In the Renaissance, the shirt had eventually evolved into an essential piece of clothing.
