Product information "Medieval Knee Caps, Steel (Pair), 15th Century"
Medieval Knee Caps, Steel, Pair, 15th C.

Fully wearable reconstruction of protective caps for the knees (also known as poleyns or genouilleres), as worn in the 15th century. Crafted from 1.4 mm thick steel, each poleyn is lined with a riveted layer of soft, black suede, and equipped with an adjustable brown leather strap with a brass buckle for a comfortable, custom fit.

Equally suited for medieval re-enactment, LARP, stage or fancy dress, these knee guards are most fitting for settings of the late Middle Ages and ideal to complete the armour of a European knight.

The knee caps are sold in pairs.

Details:
- Material: approx. 1.4 mm steel, suede lining and leather straps with antiqued brass buckles
- Dimensions (B x H): approx. 15 x 13 cm
- Depth of the bulge: approx. 6 cm
- Weight (pair): approx. 715 g

Specs may slightly vary from piece to piece.

The steel used here is not rust-proof and might show slight surface tarnishing in places. We recommend you to maintain plate armour on a regular basis, for example using Ballistol Universal Oil, which is ideally suited for steel care.
