Product information "Hourglas Gauntlets with brass lining, handmade from 1.6 mm steel"
Hourglas Gauntlets with brass lining

Our battle-ready reconstruction of a pair of late medieval hourglass gloves, are made skilfully by real craftsmen. The original and very similar gloves can be seen in Churburg Castle, South Tyrol and were probably made around 1390 by a Milanese armourer.

They are not only impressive by the excellent workmanship and the authentic appearance, but also impress with their excellent wearing comfort: all the finger joints are freely movable and a soft leather glove is completely sewn on the inside.

The gauntlets are suitable for combat reenactment / stage fighting. They are made of approx. 1.6 mm thick steel. In addition, the steel parts are artfully decorated and reinforced with sheet brass.

As the inner gloves are made of light leather, staining from the lightly oiled steel parts may also occur.

All in all, an almost perfect replica of late medieval armouring.

Details:
- Material: 1.6 mm (16 gauge) steel, brass lining and inner glove from leather
- Size: up to hand size 9
- Weight: approx 1.6 kg (pair)

Jahrhunderts!
